Participating in an unprecented experience for Ridge Academy, our Middle School students stand in as attendings in conjunction with the Museum of Science & Industry and Christ Advocate Medical Center's Cardio Unit. As a reward for their scholarship, they were allowed access to a live open heart surgery and were even able to ask questions during the procedure while the surgeon and his team talked them through the procedure.
